Recently, Korean men's wear designers are recognizing the importance of knit material and raising the frequency of employing it to express their artistic sensibility such as the gentle and refined image of men and the casual image which emphasizes activeness. Knit wear is one of the most useful items in men's fashion and is being recognized as the most promising section in the future fashion market. The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics and change in men's knit fashion represented in Seoul collections from 2007 to 2009. According to the study, three important trends could be recognized. First, the conventionality of knit wear is being deconstructed. Second, the coordination using knit wear has been diversified. Third, knit wear is presented in the style that emphasizes the sexuality of men. Through this study, recent knit fashion for men is widely employed as a suitable item to express the fashion style of men with novel individual sensibility. In addition, knit wear expresses the fashion style which is sexual, sensitive, individual, and decorative.
