The trend of the fashion in global village is to endeavor to develop local culture and tradition in contemporary way. It is significant to develop traditional Korean patterns, giving important effect on the trend in the world fashion by Oriental colors and patterns due to convergence of the East and the West in globalized modern society. It is very important to make publicity of traditional Korean pattern style in the inside and outside of the country at the time of the opening of international events frequently and the increase of Koreans’ wedding abroad. Considering such points, this study is to propose a new pattern style to reinterpret the tradition combined with modern techniques, by selecting wedding dress in the fashion having traditional Korean properties and appropriate to such events and applying floral patterns in various colors to laser cutting technique.
