고암 이응노의 문자추상 회화를 응용한 패션디자인 연구 - 패치워크 기법을 중심으로 -

The Ungno Lee's abstract painting is a motif in this study that tried to show the creative costumes by reinterpreting the motif images. Also, a patchwork was selected to main technique for free composition, three dimensional and decorative effect. The purpose of this study is to create more artistic and independent style clothes while broadening expression of fashion design. Through literature review, the contents and methods of this study investigated features of the concept of letters abstract painting. It found Ungno Lee's letter abstract painting of time-periodic and formative characteristics. Also, found the concept of patchwork, the modern fashion patchwork of various cases through national and international fashion-related books and magazines, an Internet search. The conclusion of this study are as follows: It was possible to efficient and applied arts as motif of modern fashion design with the letter abstract painting of a concise and overlapped form. The letter abstract painting of motif was changed to gray scale and made a patchwork by using material variety. It represented effective texture contrasts and a three-dimensional effect. Combination of the letter abstract painting of motif and the patchwork changed paintings of the planar characteristics to a three-dimensional effect. furthermore, It represented modern beauty of the plastic arts.
