초록
Emily Dickinson thought that she could get more wholesome knowledge by placing her epistemological position on the subordinate experience as a woman. She strategically sustained her otherness as a way to reveal the social unconsciousness. In this process, she could negate the social negativity, being determined to remain in the negativity till it was overcome. Keeping her position as a border, she could view the whole asymptotically. She used circumference as a new starting point according to the parallactic view. It means that the notion of center or periphery is conditioned on a temporary and relative basis. The subject has already become a part of the object, and vice versa. This viewpoint was related to Theodore W. Adorno’s ‘Negative Dialectics,’ in which nonidentity and the object were preferred
