편성물 국내제조기업의 경영효율성 분석

Analysis of Managerial Efficiency in Korean Knitted Fabric Companies by Data Envelopment Analysis

초록

Korean knit industry faces hardship recently due to weakened competitiveness in textile sector, increased labor cost, and penetration of global enterprises. Many companies try to find a production base abroad, thereafter. Under such a circumstance, the knit manufacturers operating in the domestic area should reinforce the business competitiveness and increase the competitiveness of national textile industry through qualitative development from management efficiency along with quantitative growth. This study works on measuring the management efficiency about domestic knit product manufacturers with Data Envelopment Analysis method and looking into the benchmarking businesses through this tool. Then, this research intends to help with the domestic knit product companies' management efficiency by suggesting a strategy to non-efficient identities for betterment. This research analyzed the efficiencies on twelve domestic manufacturers of knitted fabric based on financial data covering 2013 and 2015. Dongwon and People, HB Textile, Jin Young, and Dong Jin Textile turned out to be a high management efficiency DMU with maximized scale in the year 2013. However, in 2015, Jungwoo Vina, CMA Global, Dongwon and People, and Dong Jin Textile indicated the high management efficiency and HB Textile and Jin Young got worse. In terms of 2015 basis, eight DMUs out of twelve showed that they belonged to IRS, which is more than half of the researched identities. This implies that investment expansion is necessary for the domestic knitted fabric manufacturers. Also, non-efficient DMUs are thought to enhance the management efficiency via benchmarking the financial metrics among the efficient DMUs.
