초록
This study analyzes the civilization exchanges of the Persian Achaemenid dynasty and the Scythian Pazyryk, which played an important role as the axis of civilization exchange between the East and the West on the Silk Road. This study is an analysis of the costume depicted on the two wall carpets describing the figure with many elements of the Achaemenid dynasty among the fabrics unearthed in the Scythian Pazyryk No. 5. The purpose of this study is to reveal the Achaemenian influences on the Scythian culture through costume research. As a method of this study, we collected the European literature and comprehensive data on the excavation data and reports of the Scythian Pazyryk barrow and the Persian Achaemenid dynasty, which are subsequently compared and analyzed. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1)The shape of Goddess and the clothes worn by women were of a robe type down to the ankle. The style was similar to that of the Persian dress, which was the palace conquest of the Persian Achaemenid dynasty. 2)The robe worn by the characters of the Pazyryk fabric had a decorative hem on the front, hem on the shoulders, and the decorative hem was repeatedly depicted with a square pattern. This decorative hem and pattern were also used in the conquest of the Persian Achaemenid dynasty, which is the typical factor that appears. 3)The women were wearing sawtooth crown on their heads, which were similar in shape to the crown of Darius the Great had worn in the early days of the Persian Achaemenid dynasty. The sawtooth crown, which was worn only in the 5th century BC in the early days of the Achaemenid dynasty, was an important cost factor to determine the production period of the fabric. 4)There are two types of robes depicted on the Pazyryk fabric: narrow sleeves and wide sleeves. The narrow sleeves were observed in the robe in the shape of Goddess, and the wide sleeves in the robes of the women. It was assumed that the Persian dress of the Achaemenid dynasty had been modified to fit the climate of Pazyryk. And the wide sleeves were a representation of the Persian dress, which depicted a form that was not actually worn by Pazyryk. It was presumed that the carpet is made in Achaemenid and were imported into Pazyryk.
