The purpose of this study is to study teaching methods that can foster fashion material designers through PBL teaching methods. This research was carried out through the verification of the program through the operation of planning curriculum about the fashion practice, which was established in the Department of Textile and Fashion Design at Mokwon University in the second semester of 2016. In this class, the curriculum was designed to offer students the experience of the tasks that fashion material designers should undertake when developing new products at the Apparel Maker. The learners formed a team to solve the problem. The students assessed that by completing the PBL courses, they were able to achieve self-reliant learning and self-solving skills and that PBL classes have increased interest in majors and provided skills to be acquired as a team member. However, as the PBL curriculum is less understood and there is still a dependence on professors, improvements are required.
