Teenagers spend most of their time at school and wear school uniform during most of their time at school. As school uniform has become a kind of ready-made clothes, students are wearing school uniform that is characterized by the same pattern and design. In this period, teenagers get to form their own self-concept, and their clothing behavior has its significance in a way for them to be harmonized with and accustomed to their peer group. Therefore, school uniform should be designed in a way to enhance aesthetics as well as physical satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to consider middle school male students’ physical characteristics, analyze the patterns of school uniform being currently sold by companies comparatively, and suggest an experimental pattern that can satisfy exterior aesthetics as well as physical fitness. The experimental pattern suggested in this study is significant in that it provides foundational data for research on the patterns of shorts as school uniform.
