근대적 자유의 한계 안에서 종말론적 자유의 요청과 개념

종말론적 자유에 대한 요청은 근대적 자유의 모순과 불의에 대한 비판적성찰로 발생하기 때문에 종종 사회 정의 실현에 대한 요구로 표현된다. 그러나 종말론적 자유의 실현은 사회 변화 그 이상을 요구한다. 모든 형태의 억압으로부터의 완전한 해방과 그 궁극적 자유의 완성은 신앙과 윤리가 함께재건되는 방향에서 이룩되어야 하기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 종말론적 자유를 실현하는 방법에 대해 신비의 종말론적 요소인 ‘마지막 완성에 대한미래의 희망’을 현재로 불러들여야 한다고 강조하였다. 종말론적 자유는 영원한 삶 안에서 성취될 최종적인 지위인 동시에 이 세상에서도 구현되어야할 자유의 실재적 형태이다. 따라서 내세의 자유를 현세로 불러오는 메커니즘은 죽음, 부활, 심판으로 이어지는 종말론적 주제 안에서 구체화된다. 그리고 본 논문에서는 각각의 주제 안에서 구현되는 자유를 삶, 참여, 완성으로서의 자유로 규정하여 고찰하였다. 그리스도교가 간직한 본연의 실재들을통해서 세상에 구현될 자유를 찾아 나아가는 작업은 시대의 문제에 대답하는 교회의 올바른 방향일 것이다.
Abstract
The request for eschatological freedom is often expressed as a request for the realization of social justice because it arises from a critical reflection on the contradictions and injustices of modern freedom. However, the realization of eschatological freedom requires more than social change. This is because complete liberation from all forms of oppression and the ultimate completion of freedom must be achieved in the direction in which faith and ethics are reconstructed together. In this thesis, it is emphasized that the eschatological element of mystery, ‘future hope for the final completion’, should be brought into the present as to how to realize eschatological freedom. Eschatological freedom is both the final status to be achieved in eternal life and the real form of freedom to be realized in this world. Therefore, the mechanism that brings the freedom of the afterlife to the present life is embodied in the eschatological theme leading to death, resurrection, and judgment. And in this paper, the freedom embodied in each subject was defined as freedom as life, participation, and completion. The work of finding freedom to be realized in the world through the original realities of Christianity would be the right direction for the church to answer the problems of the times.
