초록

Since spunlacing technology is the process of bonding fibers in a web by means of high-velocity water jets unlike the other web bonding processes, the spunlacing process provides nonwoven fabric manufactured to be soft, drapable, absorbent, and comfortable. By the spunlacing process, in the present work, two kinds of composite nonwoven were made with Hanji paper(M15) and carding web(RP53 & C45) and also coarse Hanji yarn was produced by slitting the composite nonwoven to a certain width. The tensile strength and antimicrobial activity, absorption velocity of composite nonwoven were directly affected by fiber orientation distribution(FOD) in the carding web(matrix) and the characteristics of Hanji paper, respectively. Hanji tape yarn using the composite nonwoven(MP15/RP53) were successfully produced, but the tape yarn using MP15/C45 were failed. It is accounted the fact that arrangement of fibers in the composite nonwoven influences the tensile properties, that is the strength to withstand the tension applied to the slitting of the composite nonwoven. The coarse Hanji yarn exhibited the maximum tensile property at a twist number 350∼450tpm and also showed excellent knitting ability and surface appearance to knitted fabric.
