영아전담어린이집의 평가재인증과정에서 교사가 경험하는 어려움과 요구에 관한 연구

본 연구는 영아전담어린이집 평가재인증에 대한 지표 실현과정에서 교사가 겪는 어려움과 평가재인증 참여과정에서의 요구는 무엇인지를 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 어린이집에서 만 0세 영아를 학급에서 담임한 경험이 있는 어린이집 교사 10명을 면담하였으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 지표적용의 구체성 부족에 따른 어려움, 지표적용의 영아반에 대한 탄력성 부족의 어려움을 경험한다고 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 참여교사들은 영아교사를 위한 맞춤형 교육, 영아보육의 질효과를 가져 오기 위한 영아교사 인센티브, 영아보육의 질향상을 위한 영아보조교사ㆍ대체교사 지원, 영아 발달단계에 맞는 월령별 교재ㆍ교구지원, 영아 안전을 위한 보육환경 재정지원이 필요하다고 생각하고 있었다.
Abstract
The aim of this study was to discover child care providers’ experience the accreditation criteria process, and what kinds of problems and difficulties teachers experience when they go through the accreditation process. 10 teachers who held classes for infants under the age of one in infant-toddler child care centers participated in in-depth interviews. From the interviews, the teachers' responses were as follows. First, although the revised accreditation criteria for 2010 were an improvement, the criteria do not distinguish children between infants and toddlers according to age. Teachers experienced difficulties when applying accreditation criteria because the criteria did not consider infants developmental differences and characteristics compared to toddlers. Second, teachers thought that they needed help with applying accreditation criteria in practice due to the lack of specific and concrete guidelines. In addition, teachers wanted to have a reinforcing and encouraging assistance system, and to receive incentives for encouragement, and professional help when they went through the accreditation process. Financial support for diverse teaching materials and for improving educational environments was also mentioned by teachers.
