Abstract

This study wanted to find out the impact of the pursuit image, appearance, and fashion on interpersonal tendencies for middle-aged women. The research method was a survey and research method using a questionnaire, and 415 middle-aged women in the metropolitan area were studied. The results of the study are as follows. First, it turned out that people who are more active in interpersonal relationships think that body appearance is important in interpersonal relationships. Second, people in groups who were more active in interpersonal relationships tended to pursue various images, and those who were more passive in interpersonal relationships had lower needs than those of other groups in pursuit of clothing or body decoration. In addition, middle-aged women tend to follow the latest trends in neat and minimal styles, and they have the desire to look younger than they are now. Third, the difference in out-of-the-door attire depending on the type of interpersonal tendency was partly significant. The above points show that body decoration, including clothing, is a very important tool for forming interpersonal relationships for middle-aged women. It was also aware that middle-aged women were still trying to create the image they pursued, and that clothing and body decoration had a significant impact on interpersonal relationships.
