This paper discusses Mr. Yang Shangsan's contribution to the theory frame of traditionalChinese medicine. He advocated initially the classification of Huangdi Neijing, which tookpreliminary shape of TCM theoretical rudiment. His Huangdi Neijing Taisu drew the outline ofthe TCM theoretical system framework and had a profound historical significance.
