This paper examines the features on Korean welfare consciousness and welfare policy of Lee Myung-bak Administration. I focus on the values of community are important the institution of welfare. Above all, happy families and strong home makes society well-being. I think Singapore have more unique characteristics than other welfare state, that is value of family, harmony of multicultural, multiracious, multireligious socity. Therefore Singapore as Confucianism welfare state may have important meamings for the future of Korean multicultural society. The change for multicultural society is preceeding in Korea. We must prepare the vision and policy of a new welfare for strong society. I am sure that the best model of welfare state must have the sharing of value live-with, social consensus. And a confidence on Government, social mutual confidence makes best welfare role. Clean politics and government, clear tax policy, responsible society construct social confidence, spiritual welfare.
