공공신학과 이야기치료의 문헌고찰을 통한 목회상담의 방향성 제언

본 연구는 공공신학과 이야기치료의 문헌고찰을 통한 목회상담의 방향성 제언을 목적으로 한다. 최근에 한국목회상담 분야에서 공공신학과 이야기치료에 대한 담론들이 논의되면서 이 두 학문에 대한 간학문적 관심이 늘고 있다. 두 학문의 영역이 사회구조에 대한 비평적 시각과 공공영역 이라는 공통점을 가지고 있음에도 불구하고, 학제간의 대화와 연구가 충분히 이뤄지지 않았다. 따라서 본 논문은 공공신학과 이야기치료가 내포하고 있는 의미를 문헌고찰 연구를 통하여 살펴 볼 것이다. 또한 목회상담과 이야기치료의 간학문적 대화를 통해서 목회상담을 위한 대안적인 방향성을 제언하도록 할 것이다. 본 논문은 세 분야로 진행될 것이다. 첫 번째는 목회신학과 공공신학을 살펴볼 것이다. 보니 밀러-맥레모어(Bonnie Miller-McLemore)는 “살아 있는 인간망”(living human web)이라는 메타포를 사용하며 공공신학을 발전시켰다. 무엇보다 공공신학을 이해하려면 밀러-맥레모어의 신학적 메타포에 영향을 준 안톤 보이슨(Anton Boisen)의 “살아 있는 인간문서”(living human document)의 목회신학이 선행되어야 한다. 이에, “살아 있는 인간문서”의 함축적 의미를 다루고 뒤이어 “살아 있는 인간망”을 다룰 것이다. 두 번째는 마이클 화이트(Michael White)에 의해 발전된 이야기치료의 발전과정과 기료기법을 살펴본다. 이야기치료는 거대담론(권력을 가진 사람들에 의해 만들어진 이야기로 사람들을 통제하고 제약하는 권력의 수단으로 사용되는 담론)의 통제와 제약으로 말할 수 없던(들려지지 않은) 개인의 숨겨진 이야기에 주목한다. 이 과정에서, 개인은 사회권력, 힘, 억압에 대해 비평적 사고를 가지며, 개인이 추구하였던 삶의 이야기를 재구조화한다. 세 번째는 공공신학과 이야기치료의 공통적인 의미를 고찰하며 목회상담을 위한 방향성을 세 가지 측면으로 제언한다. 첫째, 개인의 영역을 넘어 공공영역으로의 확장을 요청한다. 둘째, 지배적인 사회구조에 대한 비평적 해석을 가진다. 셋째, 공공의 재원을 활용하는 네트워크 중심의 돌봄과 상담을 구축한다.
Abstract
This study aims to suggest the direction of pastoral counseling through the literature consideration of public theology and narrative therapy. Looking at the recent discourse on public theology and narrative therapy in the field of pastoral counseling in Korea, we can see that interest in these two studies is increasing. A researcher recognizes that there has not been enough interdisciplinary dialogue between public theology and narrative therapy even though these two theories have critical view about social construction and publicness as common ground. This study will consider the implications of public theology and story therapy through literature review, and try to have a conversation between public theology and narrative therapy. A researcher will suggest alternative directions for pastoral counseling through the dialogue for pastoral counseling and narrative therapy. For this purpose, this paper consists of three parts. First, this study will review pastoral theology and public theology. Bonnie Miller-McLemore has developed public theology using the metaphor “living human web.” Above all, it is required to consider “living human document” developed by Anton Boisen to understand Miller-McLemore’s living human web because “her metaphor has been constited and developed based on living human document.” Second. this study will consider narrative therapy developed by Michael White. Narrative therapy has a critical view of the social structure which has the power, listening to the stories of individuals who are not told due to the dominant discourses(the story that has power and restricted individuals). This study will review narrative therapy and address the representative treatment techniques of narrative therapy. Third, this study will reconsider the implications of public theology and narrative therapy, and propose alternative perspectives for the direction of pastoral care and counseling. First, pastoral care and counseling aims to expand beyond the private sphere to the public area. Second, pastoral care and counseling pursues to have a critical view of the dominant social structure. Third, pastoral care and counseling establishes network-centered care and counseling that utilizes public resources.
