Abstract

'Unity in Diversity' is often required for the post-modern contemporary society.  Out of many ecumenical movements, Taizé community in France stands as an outstanding example for the message in liturgy and life.  The brothers at Taizé do not wish to be called as a monastic community, but rather prefers to be called as a 'coenobite,' which the composite word has roots in 'koino' and 'bio.'  The incarnated fellowship community presents the world a liturgical life which generates life in reconciliation.      The study traces the methodology employed by Max Thurian, sub-prior of the community, in the Eucharistic theology as influenced in Lima Liturgy and documents of World Council of Churches.  Thurian's theology is the Taizé liturgy, and its methodology is expressed in the liturgy and music of the community.  Taizé offers the Korean churches a new conversational paradigm, which would teach how to respect and allow each other's life and liturgy.    When different languages, cultures, and theologies would come to a common table, how would the people celebrate the Eucharist together?  Taizé offers its own and uniquely developed music and liturgy keeping different traditions in respect to one another and finding ways to reconcile the differences.  The study includes an extended bibliography for further research on the community.
