대학 신입생의 배경변인에 따른 하나님 이미지와 자기개념 명료성의 상관성 연구

본 연구는 대학 신입생의 하나님 이미지와 자기개념 명료성이 배경변인에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는지와 또한 어떤 상관성이 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 D지역 H대 신입생 492명을 연구대상으로 하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 17.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 일원분산분석, 상관분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 첫째 배경변인에 따른 하나님 이미지에서는 본인이나 부모종교가 기독교와 가톨릭, 신앙 년 수가 약 18년 이상, 구원에 대한 확신이 있는 경우에 유의하게 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 자기개념명료성은 배경변인에 따라 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 둘째, 하나님 이미지와 자기개념명료성 간의 상관성 분석결과, 자기개념 명료성 전체와 하위영역인 요소일관성 혹은 자기확신성은 상관성이 아주 크며 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 요소일관성과 자기확신성 간에도 상관성이 크며 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 한편 하나님 이미지와 자기개념 명료성 전체 및 이의 하위영역과의 상관관계를 살펴보면, 전반적으로 상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 기독교인만을 대상으로 한 상관성 분석결과, 본인과 부모 모두 기독교 배경을 가진 경우, 하나님 이미지와 자기개념 명료성 전체 그리고 하나님 이미지와 자기확신성 간에 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 나타내었다. 그러나 본인과 부모 모두 비기독교 집단인 경우에는 하나님 이미지와 자기개념 명료성의 관계는 전반적으로 상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 대다수가 비기독교인인 대학 신입생들에게 기독교적 가치관 형성과 좋은 하나님 이미지 형성을 위한 교육 및 상담 프로그램 구성을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine not only the difference of God Image (GI) and Self-Concept Clarity(SCC) depending on the backgrounds of university freshmen, but the correlation between scores of GI and SCC. For the quantitative study, 492 freshmen in the H-university were subjected to administer questionnaires, and frequency statistics, one-way ANOVA and correlation tests were conducted by utilizing SPSS Win 17. As results, firstly, the score of GI is significantly higher among the groups composed of 1) Christian and Catholic groups in the student and parents religions, 2) duration of religious activity more than 18 years, and 3) students confirming salvation than among the other group, but the score of SCC does not show any significant difference among the different backgrounds. Secondly, a strong positive correlation comes out with the statistical significance among SCC and its sub-categories (element-integrity, self-conviction), but any statistically significant correlation is not found between GI and SCC in general, nor among GI and the sub-categories of SCC. Thirdly, among the groups composed of Christian background in terms of both students and parents religion, both the GI vs SCC and GI vs sub-category (self-conviction) of SCC show statistically positive correlation of significance. But among the groups composed of non-Christian backgrounds the GI and SCC does not show any positive correlation of statistical significance. The results will be utilized as fundamental data to help constructing education and counselling programs which will lead to nourish the Christian value-system and positive God Image for the freshmen, the majority of which is composed of non-Christian background in the university.
