본 논문에서는 시대적 요청에 따라 현대인들이 추구해야 하는 영성에 대해 다루고자 한다. 특별히 한국기독교가 추구하는 영성과 영성교육에 대해 초점을 맞추어 글을 전개하려고 한다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 질문이 제기된다. 과연 기독교의 영성은 무엇인가, 영성교육을 통한 성도의 영성형성이 가능한가, 영성교육의 가능성을 전제로 할 때, 성도의 영성형성을 위한 영성교육의 특징과 역할은 무엇인가에 대한 질문이다. 본문에서는 이를 위해 먼저 성서적 어원과 성경인물을 통한 영성의 개념에 대해 살펴보고, 나아가 한국기독교 안에서 현대 사회적 정황과 신학적 논의 속에서 추구하고 있는 현대적 의미의 영성개념에 관하여 살펴볼 것이다. 이러한 개념을 중심으로 영성교육의 가능성을 고찰하고, 하나님과의 바른 관계를 통해 전인적인 영성을 형성 할 수 있도록 영성의 특징과 역할을 알아보고자 한다. 이러한 특징과 역할을 알아봄으로써, 한국기독교가 당면한 현실적 문제 속에서 어떻게 영성교육을 통하여 영적 정체성과 주체성을 확립한 개인이 기독공동체의 상호관계와 사랑을 통하여 다양한 사회 구성원들과 통합을 이룸으로써 영적 공동체를 형성하고 나아가 지역사회와 세계를 향해 나아갈 것인가에 대한 방향을 제시하고자 한다.
Abstract
This study deals with Spirituality and Spirituality education which is pursued by today's people in order to meet the needs of the times. In particular, it focuses on Christian Spirituality in Korea. Before dealing with this, there are some questions raising: What is Spirituality of Christianity?, Is it possible to build spirituality by education? On the assumption that, what are the characteristics and roles of spirituality education for building spirituality? Therefore, in order to provide answers to questions, the biblical origin and the concept of spirituality by investigating the characters in the Bible are firstly explored. Secondly, it examines the concept of contemporary spirituality in Korean Christianity under these circumstances of modern society and theological discussion. Also, it considers the possibilities of spirituality education stressing on that concept. In order to build the spirituality for making the whole person through the good relationship with God, it studies the characteristics and roles of spirituality education. It suggests direction of how to solve the problem of Korean Christianity as a matter of fact. Finally, it proposes how to establish the identity to each individual person through the spirituality education, how to unite with christian community members to build the spiritual community in love and how to serve the local community and the world.
