이 논문은 무의식의 개념을 중심으로 요한복음 21장 1-17절에 나타난 베드로의 내러티브를 정신분석학적 관점에서 살펴보았다. 정신분석적 입장에서 인간의 정신적 문제는 어린 시절의 경험과 무의식과 연관되어 있다고 주장한다. 그래서 인간의 무의식을 탐구하는 것은 정신 분석에서 아주 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 무의식 속에는 억압된 충동이나 경험이 자리 잡고 이러한 경험은 인간의 삶 속에서 의식이 조절할 수 없는 강력한 힘을 발휘한다. 그래서 인간의 정신적 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 이러한 무의식을 탐구하고 의식화 하는 것이 중요하다고 프로이트와 융은 주장한다. 현대 포스트 모더니즘 입장에서 무의식은 문제 해결을 위한 단서뿐만 아니라 인간의 잠재성을 위한 가능성의 존재로 인식되어 진다. 다시 말하면, 인간의 무의식의 의식화는 인간의 문제 해결에서만 머무르는 것이 아니라 인간의 건강하고 의미 있는 성장을 돕는 다는 것이다. 기독교 역사 속에서도 무의식은 중요한 개념이 되어 왔다. 하나님의 우리 안에 거하시는 공간으로서 인간으로 하여금 하나님을 경험하고 자신을 바라보며 하나님이 주시는 소명을 찾을 수 있는 역동적인 공간이다. 목회상담의 대표적 학자인 앤 율라노프는 그래서 기독교에서 인간의 무의식을 탐구하는 것은 상담심리학에서뿐만 아니라 기독교에서도 의미 있다고 주장한다. 다시 말하면 인간의 무의식을 의식화 하고 자신의 무의식을 대면함으로 인간은 자신의 또 다른 측면을 경험하고 통합함으로 자신의 삶의 목적과 방향을 찾게 된다는 것이다. 요한복음 21장 1-17절에 나타난 베드로의 이야기는 이러한 무의식의 통합과 의미 있는 삶을 보여주는 내러티브이다. 예수님의 부인으로 인해 자신의 부정적 에너지의 무의식에 조절을 당하고 있던 베드로에게 예수님이 나타나 베드로로 하여금 그의 무의식을 대면하게 하고 통합하게 함으로 베드로가 다시금 사역하게 만드는 중요한 사건이다. 이 사건에서 보여 지듯이 인간의 무의식은 교회 속에서 살아가는 많은 교인들에게 도전이 된다. 다시 말하면 교회에서는 인간들이 자신의 어두운 무의식을 인정하고 통합하는 것을 돕고 그러한 통합 위에서 하나님의 사역을 도울 수 있는 것이 필요하다고 하겠다.
Abstract
It is believed that the counselee’s repeated problems are related to childhood and unconscious experience. Therefore, psychoanalysis focuses on the unconscious of the counselee to solve her/his problem, because the counselor can find unresolved unconscious problem beneath the counselee’s repeated problem. In this aspect, unconscious is the most important state to better understand humanity and solve the problem. In Christianity, unconscious is very important aspect. God is in us and we are in God. God leads us live newly. The relationship between God and human makes human to grow positively. Ann Ulanov also states that humans can experience God in unconscious. Those who find the real self can live having purpose and meaning that God allow them. Eventually, we can find our real self and meet God through exploring unconscious. The narrative in John 21:1- 17 is very interesting relating to unconscious. This narrative is closed related to the unconscious of Peter. Peter cannot live meaningful live, because of his shadow unconscious that is from his betrayal . But, when Jesus invite him to his breakfast, Peter can open space for growth and find his shadow. In other words, when Peter face with his unconscious, he can start to change his life toward Jesus.
