행동어린 신학으로서 예배와 설교학의 입문적 접근에 관한 연구

본 연구는 신학교의 교과내용인 ‘신학’에 대한 정합한 이해를 시도하여 이론신학과 실천신학 간의 유기적이고 통섭적인 관계를 밝혀내고자 한다. 이러한 신학에 대한 본래적 이해를 통해 본 연구는 신학교육의 교과과정으로서 예배와 설교학의 특성을 바르게 드러내고 신학의 제 영역들 내에서 그것이 갖는 지위를 정당하게 주장하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 교과목으로서의 ‘신학’을 ‘행동어린 학문’으로 재정의하고, 그 관점 하에서 예배와 설교학을 ‘행동어린 신학’으로 규정하게 된다. ‘행동어린 신학’이라 함은, 신학이 학문으로서 교의학적 담론과 명제적 진술의 내용일지라도 그것의 의의와 속성이 실행 지향적이라는 말이다. 기독교 신학은 성서가 증언하는 삼위 하나님의 이해를 통해 인간과 세상, 삶을 해석하고, 삶의 새로운 가능성을 여는 통합된 앎이며 실천적 지혜이다. 신학은 태생적으로나 기능상 타고난 실천성으로 인해 이론과 실천 간의 분리나 우열적 관계가 성립되지 않는다. 오히려 교회는 오랫동안 신앙실천의 현장을 신학이 발생하는 일차적 자리로 삼아 왔으며, 거기서 교의적 신학이 파생한다고 보았다. 이러한 행동성을 취하고 있는 신학의 분과들 가운데 하나가 예배와 설교학이다. 예배와 설교는 방식은 다르지만 하나로 엮이어 있는 교회의 실천으로서, 기독교 신앙과 교회를 발생, 지속시키는 원천적 행위이다. 따라서 본 논문의 궁극적 과제는 신학교의 교과목으로서 예배와 설교학의 의의와 지위를 정당하게 평가 하는데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 현행 예배와 설교학의 입문교육이 근대적 방법론인 이론-실천 간의 우열도식 하에서 스스로를 이론에 대한 도구적이며 기술적 분야로 규정하고 소개하는 접근에서 벗어나 학문으로서 예배와 설교학을 정당하게 인식하고 평가하는 입문적 교육의 내용을 소개하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이는 단순히 신학의 제 영역들 내의 한 분과를 위한 시도에 국한되지 않는다. 그것은 신학교육 일반에 대한 인식과 교수-학습 방법론에 대한 접근을 새로이 하는 전환의 계기가 될 수 있다.
Abstract
This study attempts to uncover the organic and consensual relationship between theoretical theology and practical theology by attempting an original understanding of 'theology', the content of the theological seminary's curriculum. Through this understanding of theology, this study intends to correctly reveal the characteristics of liturgics and homiletics as the curriculum of theological education, and to justly claim its status in relation to various fields of theology. To this end, this study redefines 'theology' as a subject as 'action-based science' and redefines liturgics and homiletics as 'action-based theology' from that perspective. ‘Action-based theology’ means that even though theology is the content of dogmatic discourse and propositional statements as a discipline, its significance and properties are practice-oriented. Christian theology is an integrated knowledge and wisdom for living life that interprets human beings, the world, and life, and opens up new possibilities for life through the understanding of the Triune God testified by the Bible. Theology does not establish a separation or superiority relationship between theory and practice by virtue of innate practicality. Rather, the church has long regarded practicing faith as theologia prima where theology arises, and it is believed that dogmatic theology derives from it as theologia secunda. Worship and preaching are different in their ways of practicing but intertwined practices of the church as one, and are the fundamental acts and foundations that generate and sustain the Christian faith and church. Therefore, the ultimate task of this thesis is to properly evaluate the significance and status of liturgics and homiletics as subjects in theological curriculum. To this end, this study aims to introduce one possible content of introductory education that is evaluated. It is not limited to simply attempting to branch out within the various fields of theology. It can be an opportunity for a great transformation to renew the awareness of theological education in general and the approach to teaching-learning methodology.
