<유효공선행록>과 <옥원전해>의 옹서대립담 고찰

Abstract

There are similar tales in Yuhyokongsenhaenglok and Okwonjonhae. These similar tales have the conflicts between a father-in-law and a son-in-law. Because of mean-type fathers in these similar tales, the conflicts between a father-in-law and a son-in-law occur, and various circumstances are involved in these conflicts, and other conflicts occur. This mean-type father in these similar tales is compared mean-type father-in-law in other five works like Wanwolhoymaengyeon, Yanghyeonmoonjikjulky, Okwonjaehapkiyeon, Changlanhoyeonlok, Myeongjookibong. Because of this mean-type father, the mean family is incarnated in Yuhyokongsenhaenglok and Okwonjonhae. Hero realizes his ideal that he must cleanse the dishonor of the his family, and the problems of the mean famil are settled, and his mean family turns into the noble family. However Hero's consciousness of the noble family is so strong and so hard that his mind has and wears the family-egocentricity. So he delivers fierce attack at father-in-law and his wife, and gives them pain. This pain is changed from hero's pain while he is making constant efforts that he makes his mean family noble. At last father-in-law and his wife feels that they are left out of group. But hero himself gets suffering of mind. At this point is the inclination of violence. This is significance in Yuhyokongsenhaenglok and Okwonjonhae. Okwonjonhae is a sequel to Okwonjaehapkiyeon, so succeeds to first volume’s trade of the mean character on one hand, however changes the mean character from father-in-law to father on the other hand. And Yuhyokongsenhaenglok itself makes father's character mean. Yuhyokongsenhaenglok and Okwonjonhae have similar tales of the conflicts between a father-in-law and a son-in-law, give readers sincereness and interest.
