Abstract
Two antioxidative compounds in Chrysanthemum boreale were isolated by a bioassay using a 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrydrazyl(DPPH) free radical. They were identified as apigeninm linarin(acacetin-7-O-rutinsoside) on the basis of ¹H and 13C-NMR and MS date. The DPPH radical scavenging activity(RC50: 13.3㎍) of apigenin was similar to that of a-tocopherol (12.1㎍) and L-ascorbic acid(13.1㎍)
