Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to offer a proposal for the analysis concerning the morpho-syntactic fusion complexity represented with various particles and formatives which show unique idiosyncracy of distinctive properties of Basque language, especially in the case of Nor-Nork and Nor-Nori-Nork form of the Unified Basque (Euskara Batua) simple sentence. This thesis focuses on how a underlying argument structure projects to the auxiliary formation and how it contains morphemic particle sequence in the exclusively postpositional Basque language, in which the incorporation of suggested postpositional particles and formatives into auxiliary form would be well attested according to several ad hoc rules of this study. To evit ignotum per ignotius or ignoratio elenchi I have restricted myself to a few examples for the sake of descriptive simplicity and explicit convenience, making such ad hoc rules to make generalization on the assumption that the existence of underlying morpho-syntactic structure would be a clue to solve several problems in the process of analysis about the auxiliary foams on the synchronic basis, justifying the properties and characteristics of Basque language in the most generalized usages. The assumption of fusion complexity and non-configurational system of Basque language--deriving the construction via verb movement and thereby bringing cooccurance restriction-, which differs from that given by traditional linguists who have asserted that Basque language is a kind of agglutinative and configurational language, I want to propose rationalizing hypotheses in an effort to verify the details of universal validity within the limits of grammatical categories, singling out several problems in the application of the assumptions for the analysis by means of the auxiliary forms. Discussing the obligatorily necessary items-making some composite proposals-for the syntactic analysis of the auxiliary forms, that would be capable of interlinking to the marginal utility of synchronic analysis, I would like to summarize this study and present solve implications, expatiating on the subject of this thesis one of which is tenable to make use of grid-diagram in process of searching examination about the atomic fusion complexity of Basque language.
