대학생의 취업불안과 진로탐색행동의 관계에서 자율적 동기의 조절효과

이 연구의 목적은 대학생의 취업불안과 진로탐색행동의 관계에서 자율적 동기의 조절효과를 구명하는데 있었다. 이를 위해 우리나라 4년제 대학생 중 인문, 사회, 자연 및 공학계열 전공 452명을 대상으로 인구통계학적 변인(성별, 학년, 전공 계열, 대학 소재지) 및 진로탐색행동, 취업불안, 자율적 동기를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 통제변인으로 활용된 변인 중의 학년은 대학생의 진로탐색행동에 영향을 미쳤다. 자율적 동기는 진로탐색행동에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 자율적 동기는 취업불안과 진로탐색행동의 관계를 조절하였다. 즉 자율적 동기가 낮은 조건에서 취업불안은 진로탐색행동에 부적 영향을 미쳤지만, 자율적 동기가 높은 조건에서 취업불안은 진로탐색행동에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 이 연구는 다음과 같은 제언을 제시하였다. 첫째, 대학생이 취업불안을 긍정적으로 이해할 수 있도록 자율적 동기를 촉진해야 한다. 둘째, 취업불안이 대학생의 진로선택 및 취업준비에 미치는 영향에 대한 후속연구가 필요하다. 셋째, 자율적 동기의 측정 및 활용에 있어 통제된 동기의 영향을 고려한 후속 연구가 필요하다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the moderating effect of autonomous motivation on the relationship between employment anxiety and career exploration behavior. For the purpose, this study analysed demographic characteristics(sex, grade, major, university location), career exploration behavior, employment anxiety and autonomous motivation of 452 undergraduate students majoring in humanities, social sciences, natural science and engineering. According a result of the analysis, the grade had the effect on career exploration behavior among demographic characteristics. Autonomous motivation had the effect on career exploration behavior and had the moderating effect on the relationship between employment anxiety and career exploration behavior. In other words, employment anxiety had the negative effect on career exploration behavior under low autonomous motivation, but under high autonomous motivation, employment anxiety had the positive effect on career exploration behavior. Based on these findings, this study proposed several suggestions. First, it is needed to promote autonomous motivation of undergraduate students so that they can understand employment anxiety positively. Second, a follow-up study is needed to identify the effect of employment anxiety on the career choice and employment preparation of undergraduate students. Third, a follow-up study is needed to take into account the effect of controlled motivation in measuring and utilizing autonomous motivation.
