본 연구는 부모의 정서표현 수용태도가 유아의 정서지능 및 놀이성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 만 3, 4, 5세 유아 186명과 이들의 부모를 대상으로 부모의정서표현수용태도, 유아의 정서지능 및 놀이성에 대한 검사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 자녀에 대한부모의 정서표현 수용태도는 유아의 정서지능과 놀이성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 유아의 정서지능 중 또래와의 관계, 놀이성 중 사회적 자발성에 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 본 연구는 유아의 부정적 정서표현에 대한 부모의 수용태도가 설명력이 높은 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of parental attitude toward young children’s emotional expression on their emotional intelligence and playfulness. Subjects of this study consisted of 186 children of 3 to 5 years of age who were in day care centers in Seoul and the surrounding Gyeonggi Province, and their parents. They filled out the questionnaires of Parental Attitude toward Children's Expressiveness Scale(PACES), Emotional Intelligence, and Playfulness. This study showed that parental attitude toward young children’s emotional expression was significant to explain their emotional intelligence and playfulness. Peer relationships were influenced based on young children’s emotional intelligence and their playfulness. Specifically, the explanatory power of parental attitude toward young children’s negative emotional expression was high.
