대학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제가 대인불안에 미치는 영향 : 완벽주의적 자기제시의 매개효과

초록

본 연구는 부모의 심리적 통제와 대학생의 완벽주의적 자기제시, 대인불안이 어떠한 관계를 가지는지 살펴보고, 부모의 심리적 통제와 대인불안의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시가 매개효과를 가지는지 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 B광역시에 소재하는 4년제 대학교의 남, 여 대학생 478명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 그 중 421부를 연구의 분석에 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제, 완벽주의적 자기제시, 대인불안 간에는 대체로 유의미한 정적상관이 있었다. 하지만, 성별에 따라 상관이 다소 다른 특징이 나타났다. 둘째, 남자 대학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제가 대인불안에 미치는 영향에서 완벽주의적 자기제시는 완전매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 여자 대학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제가 대인불안에 미치는 영향에서 완벽주의적 자기제시는 부분매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 대학생의 대인불안의 예방 및 상담에의 시사점과 후속연구를 위한 제안점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the perfectionistic self-presentation as a mediator of the association between perceived parental psychological control and interpersonal anxiety among college students. 421 students (258 females and 163 males) from several universities in Busan, South Korea completed self-administered questionnaires to assess their parental psychological control and their perfectionistic self-presentation and interpersonal anxiety. The results are as follows: First, their parental psychological control was shown to have a significant effect on the interpersonal anxiety of college students. Second, perfectionistic self-presentation fully mediated the effect of parental psychological control on the interpersonal anxiety of male college students. For female college students, perfectionistic self-presentation partially mediated the relationship between parental psychological control and interpersonal anxiety. To sum up, it is suggested that parental psychological control and perfectionistic self-presentation are significant factors to manage the interpersonal anxiety for college students. Furthermore, the findings emphasize the importance of incorporating how to identify, decrease, and mitigate perfectionistic self-presentation into counseling intervention for college students’ interpersonal anxiety.
