초등학생의 인지양식, 학업불안, 영어불안 및 영어성적의 관계

초록

교사가 영어학습지도시에 아동의 영어불안 극복과 학업성취 향상을 위한 전략에 필요한 기초 자료를 얻기 위해 초등학생의 인지양식, 학업불안, 영어불안 및 영어성적의 관계를 밝혀보았다. 이 연구를 위해 부산시내에 있는 초등학교 6학년 370명을 대상으로 연구한 결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 영어성적은 인지양식과는 유의한 정적 상관이 있었고, 학업불안 및 영어불안과는 유의한 부적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인지양식유형에 따라 학업불안, 영어불안 그리고 영어성적은 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 학업불안수준에 따라 영어불안과 영어성적은 유의한 차이가 났다. 셋째, 초등학생의 영어성적은 영어불안수준에 따라 유의한 차이가 났으며, 영어불안점수는 영어점수와 유의한 부적상관이 있었다. 넷째, 인지양식, 영어불안, 학업불안의 순으로 영어성적에 영향을 미쳤으며, 영어불안의 하위영역에서는 말하기 불안, 학업성취 불안, 수업긴장, 교수이해불안, 부정적 수업관 순으로 영어성적에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between learner's cognitive style, academic anxiety, English anxiety and English achievement as 370 elementary students. The major findings are as follows: First, There is a significant and positive correlation between English achievement and cognitive style. but, there is a significant and negative correlation between English achievement and academic anxiety or English anxiety. There is a significant and negative correlation between cognitive style and academic anxiety or English anxiety. but, there is a significnat correlation between academic anxiety and English anxiety. Second, There is significant difference in academic anxiety, English anxiety, and English achievement according to cognitive style. Third, There is significant difference in English anxiety and English achievement according to level of academic anxiety. Fourth, There is significant difference in English achievement according to level of English anxiety.
