이 논문은 DEA모형을 이용하여 지역농협의 효율성을 분석하였다. 사례지역으로 광주광역시의 14개 농협을 대상으로 지역농업과 지역농협의 현황을 정리하고, 투입지향적인 상대적 효율성을 분석하였다. 사례지역의 농협은 전형적인 도시지역에 위치한 농협으로 조합원 수가 감소하고 있는 지역이다. 지역농협의 상대적 효율성 분석은 2014~2018년까지의 산출과 투입변수를 가지고 분석하였는데, 2018년 기준으로 효율성이 1.00인 농협은 9개, 0.90~1.00 미만인 농협은 3개, 0.80~0.90미만인 농협은 2개이었다. 그리고 비효율적인 농협은 투입지향적인 차원에서 볼 때 조합원 수, 직원수, 총자산에 있어서 개선방안이 필요한 것으로 파악되었다. 이러한 분석결과는 향후 지역농협의 상대적 경영개선을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This paper analyzed the efficiency of regional agricultural cooperatives using the DEA model. As a case study, 14 agricultural cooperatives in Gwangju Metropolitan City were organized to summarize the current status of local and regional agricultural cooperatives and analyzed the relative efficiency of input-oriented areas. The Agricultural Cooperatives in the case study are located in typical urban areas, and the number of union members is decreasing. The relative efficiency analysis of regional agricultural cooperative was analyzed with input and output variables from 2014 to 2018. As of 2018, there were nine regional agricultural cooperatives with efficiency of 1.00, three under 0.90~1.00 and two under 0.80~0.90. In addition, the inefficient Agricultural Cooperatives were found to need improvement measures in terms of input, such as the number of members, employees, and total assets. The results of this analysis can be used as basic data for the relative management improvement of regional agricultural cooperatives in the future.
