본 연구는 중진공의 정책자금을 지원받은 중소기업을 대상으로 대규모 중소기업과 소규모 중소기업 간에 기업성과의 차이가 있는지를 검증하고, 이러한 두 집단 간 기업성과의 차이가 지원 전 재무적 특성(자산총액, 가동률, 부채비율)에 따라 어떤 영향을 받는지를 실증 분석하였다.종업원 수를 기준으로 대규모 중소기업과 소규모 중소기업으로 구분하여 살펴본 결과 소규모 중소기업보다 대규모 중소기업이 정책자금으로 인한 외형성장이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 중소기업 규모 간 경영성과의 차이 요인을 분석한 결과 지원 전 자산총액이 클수록 외형성장과 관련된 경영성과가 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 지원 전 생산시설가동률이 낮을수록 외형성장과 내실성장이 높게 나타났으며 이 두 변인은 두 집단(소규모, 대규모 중소기업)간 차이를 보이지 않았다. 반면에 부채비율의 경우 소규모 중소기업의 경우 지원 전 부채 비율이 낮을수록 외형성장이 높게 나타났으나, 대규모 중소기업의 경우에는 적용되지 아니하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 향후 중소기업을 위한 정책자금을 지원하는데 있어 기업의 재무적 심사 자료의 근거로서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The objective of this study is to analyze the effects of SBC(Small Business Corporation) funding program on the small-sized and medium-sized firms in terms of financial performance. To do this, we devide the samples into two groups based on the size of employees. In measuring the financial performance of each group, we consider the financial characteristics (such as asset size, operation rate, debt ratio). The results of this study show that, in general, SBC funding has larger impact on the growth rate of the medium-sized firms than that small-sized of the firms. The results of also show that asset size has a significant positive effect on the sales growth. Operation rate and debt ratio have significant negative effects on the sales growth among small-sized firms This finding indicates that SBC funding should be distributed differently between medium-sized firms and small-sized firms in the future
