중소벤처기업 경영패턴의 질적 특징 변화에 관한 탐색적 연구

본 연구는 기존 연구들의 정태적인 한계를 보완하기 위하여 기업의 성과에 영향을 미치는 성과요인들을 다양화하고 그 성과요인들이 기업의 특정 성장단계가 아니라 다양한 성장단계별로 어떻게 작용되는지를 동태적으로 추적 분석하였다. 그리고 그 변화되는 형태를 경영패턴(Management Pattern)이라는 이름으로 탐색적으로 연구하였다. 본 연구에서는 기업의 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 8개 핵심경영요인을 선정하고 8개 핵심경영요인별로 다시 28개의 세부경영요인을 추출하여 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 그리고 기업의 성장단계별 동태적 분석을 위하여 기업의 성장단계를 3단계로 나누고 각 단계별로 경영요인들의 형태가 어떻게 변화하는지를 탐색적으로 연구하였다. 그리고 탐색적 조사의 질을 높이기 위하여 조사대상 기업을 고성장기업과 저성장기업, IT기업과 비IT기업으로 나누어 기업의 성격과 업종에 따라 변화패턴이 어떻게 서로 다른지를 비교하였다. 연구결과에 의하면 28개 요인들에 대한 경영패턴은 기업의 성장단계에 따라 그 형태가 다르게 나타났고, 기업의 성격이나 업종에 따라서도 서로 다르게 나타났다. 28개 요인 중에서 특히 리더십, 인력구조, 지분소유, 성장전략 패턴 요인에서 그 형태가 성장단계에 따라 현저하게 달라지는 모습을 보여주었다. 그리고 고성장기업과 저성장기업간에는 기술확보방식, 시장침투전략, 시장세분화 전략, 기업문화, 성장전략 요인에서 성장단계별로 큰 차이가 나고, IT기업과 비IT기업간에는 기술확보방식, 갈등해소방식, 지분소유방식, 시장침투전략, 기업문화 요인에서 성장단계별 경영패턴이 상대적으로 큰 차이를 보이고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study investigated on the qualitative change of management pattern of small business and venture with organizational growth stage. The results suggest that the management pattern of small business and venture will change as organizational growth stage evolves. The leadership style will change from authoritarian style to democratic style as organizational growth stage evolves. The qualitative change of other factors such as the governance structure, manpower structure and strategy can be found. This study also investigated the differences of qualitative change of management patterns between higher growth company group and lower growth group. Also we investigated the difference of qualitative change of management patterns by IT and non-IT industry. Several implications will be discussed.
