신자유주의 질서의 확산에 따른 십대 여성의 성적 주체성 변화에 관한 연구

본 연구는 한국 사회 확산되고 있는 신자유주의적 질서 속에서 빈곤층 십대 여성의 성적 주체성이 어떠한 변화의 양상을 겪고 있는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 한국 사회는 외환위기를 전후로 위기 관리 차원에서 신자유주의 질서를 도입하기 시작했고 이러한 조건은 새로운 젠더 작동방식의 등장, 그리고 여성 주체의 등장과 연관을 가진다. 이를 이해하기 위한 방법으로 십대 여성들이 성적 상품화를 둘러싼 성적 이중규범, 여성으로서의 자신을 승인하기 위한 ‘권위’와 연결되는 방식을 살펴보고자 한다. 그리고 이러한 측면을 기존 사회의 지배적 규범이 작동되는 두 가지의 중요한 메커니즘인 ‘유예’와 ‘훈육’이 이들에게 전유되는 방식과의 관계 속에서 살펴보고자 한다. 신자유주의적 질서가 확산됨에 따라 빈곤층 십대 여성은 점차로 성적이중규범의 탈규범화, 여성성의 승인 권위로 간주되었던 남성성에 대한 탈권위화와 같은 변화 양상을 보여주고 있다. 이러한 변화는 신자유주의적 소비자 시민권, 자유주의적 개인주의, 성역할 규범의 균열, 젠더와 섹슈얼리티 간의 새로운 조합 등과 같은 변화를 배경으로 하고 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 변화가 여성주의에게 던지는 새로운 화두는 개인의 권리와 가치, 존엄성에 기반 한 관계적 개인으로서의 여성을 강조하는 여성주의와, 사회 구조적 요인으로 인한 배제를 개인의 문제로 환원, 축소시키면서 사회적 불평등의 개인화를 야기하고 있는 신자유주의의 관계에 대한 고찰로 볼 수 있다. 현재 진행되고 있는 신자유주의적 조건 속에서 여성주의의 ‘관계적 개인으로서의 권리’의 가치는 시장이 원하는 ‘개인’에게 전유당할 수 있는 가능성에 놓여있기 때문이다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine the process of changes in teenage girls who are from poverty family based on neoliberal milieu. Korean society has become to take the neoliberl social system to deal with the current financial crisis since 1990s. This new milieu has caused the new way of operating gender and had much to do with emerging women's subjectivity. To analyze it, this study uses two analytical concepts such as ‘discipline' and ‘postponement', in which the norm of sexual dualism and the phallocentric authority regarded as measurement for value of woman. As the influence of neoliberal milieu has become to be extended, teenage girls have shown the process in which the norm of sexual dualism and the phallocentric authority come to be obscured. These changes are considered as based on the context such as neoliberal consumer citizenship, liberal individualism, a crack of gender role and sexuality. They require us to examine the relations between feminism and neoliberalism. It is in part because the relation causes an inappropriate appopriation of the value of liberal feminism by neoliberal individualism by which causes a suggest to gender studies founding of this study.
