장애자녀를 둔 어머니의 공감피로, 공감만족과 양육유능감에 미치는 영향요인 분석

본 연구는 장애자녀를 둔 어머니의 공감피로, 공감만족과 양육유능감에 대한 영향요인을 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 장애 자녀를 둔 어머니 283명을 대상으로 공감피로, 공감만족과 양육유능감을 조사하였고, 수집된 자료는 더미변수를 이용한 다중회기 분석과 위계적 다중회기 분석을 통해 분석되었다. 연구결과는 첫째, 장애자녀를 둔 어머니의 공감피로, 공감만족과 양육유능감 수준은 중간수준으로 나타났으며, 공감피로와 공감만족, 공감피로와 양육유능감 간에 높은 부적 상관관계와 공감만족과 양육유능감 간에는 높은 정적 상관관계가 확인되었다. 둘쨰, 장애자녀를 둔 어머니의 공감피로와 공감만족에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 어머니의 여가 시간, 자녀수, 장애자녀 성별이 나타났으며, 양육유능감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 공감피로와 공감만족과 같은 영향요인에 전문가의 지원이 추가적으로 더 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 장애자녀를 둔 어머니의 공감피로를 감소시키기 위해서는 여가 지원 또는 양육유능감을 높일 수 있는 전문가 지원이 지속적으로 제공될 필요가 있음을 시사점으로 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the factors affecting on the compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction and parenting sense of competence of mother of children with disabilities. To this end, 283 mother of children with disabilities were asked to completed the questionnaires investigating the compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction and parenting sense of competence. The collected data were analyzed by using the multiple regression analyses and the hierarchical multiple regression analyses with the dummy variables. The results were as follows. First, the level of the compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction and parenting sense of competence of mother of children with disabilities were on the average. And there was a statistically significant negative correlation between the compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction, and so was between the compassion of fatigue and parenting sense of competence. As well, there was high positive correlation between the compassion of satisfaction and parenting sense of competence. Second, the factors affecting on the compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction of mothers of children with disabilities were the amount of leisure time, the number of children and the gender of children with disabilities. As well the variables affecting the parenting sense of competence were the amount of leisure time, the number of children and the gender of children with disabilities, and the sufficient supports of specialist, either. Based on these results, it could be concluded that to reduce the compassion fatigue of mother of children with disabilities, the supports of specialist who was able to improve support of leisure or parenting sense of competence consistently had to be provided with them.
