특수학교 기본교육과정 국어와 초등학교 교육과정 국어의 연계성 연구

이 연구는 특수학교 기본교육과정 국어과 내용체계의 내용 수준을 파악하기 위하여 특수학교 기본교육과정과 초등학교 교육과정 국어의 목표와 내용체계를 분석하였다. 각 교육과정 해설서, 지도서, 교과서 내용을 바탕으로 하여 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기의 각 영역별 비교를 통하여 연계성을 분석해 보았다. 목표의 연계성을 분석한 결과, 두 교육과정이 공통적으로 의사소통을 중심으로 하고 있어 언어 기능에 관한 부분에서 연계성이 있었다. 그러나 목표에서는 각 교육과정이 연계적으로 구성되어 있다고 볼 수 없다. 또한, 각 영역을 통합하여 단계별로 고찰해보면 특수학교 기본교육과정 Ⅰ단계는 대체로 초등학교 이전 수준으로, 초등학교 교육과정과 연계성을 찾을 수 없었다. ‘쓰기’는 듣기나 말하기와 비교해서 더 어려운 의사소통방법임에도, Ⅰ단계부터 초등 1학년 내용이 포함되어 있어 타 영역에 비해 높은 수준이었다. 특수학교 기본교육과정 Ⅱ단계는 유아부터 초등 2학년까지 내용 수준이 가장 다양하게 나타났다. 듣기는 초등 이전(유아) 수준의 내용을 유지하였고, 말하기는 1학년, 2학년 내용과 연계되고, 읽기는 유아부터 1학년 내용, 쓰기는 1학년 내용과 연계되는 점을 미루어보아, 교육과정 내용체계 수준이 영역별로 일치하고 않고 있었다. 특수학교 기본교육과정 Ⅲ단계는 대체로 1학년과 2학년 내용과 연계되었는데, 듣기, 말하기, 쓰기는 1, 2학년 내용으로 구성되었고, 읽기는 1학년부터 3학년의 내용으로 읽기 영역이 가장 높은 수준의 내용으로 구성되어 있었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the standard of content structure for Korean language art education in the Basic Curriculum for Special Education. To reach the goal comparative analysis of objectives and content structure for Korean language art education between the Basic Curriculum for Special Education and the National Curriculum for Elementary School was conducted. Link between the two curricula was analyzed according to the categories-listening, speaking, reading and writing-by reviewing the curriculum guidelines, teachers` guidebooks and textbooks. Objectives for these two curricula are partly related in the area of language skills since both curricula put emphasis on communication. However, all areas in the National Curriculum for Elementary School are associated with structure while language skills are only emphasized in the Basic Curriculum for Special Education. Therefore, objectives of the two curricula are not closely related. Overall categories for level Ⅰ of the Basic Curriculum for Special Education are close to preschool level; association between the two curricula is hard to find. Although 'Writing' can be more difficult communication method compare to listening and speaking, 'Writing' includes contents from the National Curriculum for Elementary School from level Ⅰ, which shows its higher level than other categories. Level Ⅱ of the Basic Curriculum for Special Education includes various levels, from kindergarten program to second grade for elementary school. Listening includes level of preschool; speaking includes level of first and second grades; reading includes level of preschool to first grade; writing includes level of first grade. Curriculum content structure for each category shows different level of difficulty. Level Ⅲ of the Basic Curriculum for Special Education is mostly related to the first and second grades of the National Curriculum for Elementary School. Listening, speaking and writing include contents from the first to second grades; reading, which contains highest level, includes contents from the first to third grades.
