장애아동 형제자매의 삶에 대한 질적 연구

본 연구는 장애아동의 형제 및 자매들이 장애아동의 가족구성원으로서 생활하는 삶에 대한 이해를 통해 앞으로 지향되어야 할 가족지원의 방향을 알아보기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다.본 연구에서는 서울특별시와 대전광역시 소재 특수학교에 재학 중인 장애학생의 형제 및 자매들 13명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였으며, 연구 참여자의 장애형제가 지닌 장애의 유형은 정신지체와 자폐성장애이었다. 본 연구에서 실시한 심층면담을 통해 수집한 자료를 질적 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 3개의 주요 주제가 도출되었다: (1)심리적 어려움, (2)생활의 어려움, (3)감사와 희망. 본 연구의 결과를 중심으로 논의에서는 장애아동 교육에 있어서 중요한 협력자인 장애아동 형제자매를 효율적으로 지원할 방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the experiences of the siblings of children with disabilities through a qualitative inquiry. 13 siblings of children with disabilities participated interviews to share their experiences. From the qualitative analyses, four themes emerged: (1) emotional problems, (2) daily life's problems, (3) the appreciation and hopes. Discussions and the implications for the sibling support practices were provided. The limitations and the suggestions for future researches were discussed.
