시각중복장애학생의 음악성에 대한 기악교사의 관점

본 연구는 기악교사들이 시각중복장애학생의 음악성에 대하여 어떠한 관점을 가지고 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 방법은 질적연구방법을 사용하였으며 자료를 수집하기 위하여 면담법을 활용하였다. 연구 대상은 S지역의 A복지관에서 근무하고 있는 방과 후 기악교사들이었다. 이를 통해 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구에 참여한 기악교사들은 시각중복장애학생들이 청음력이 우수하며, 들었던 음을 여러 가지 방법으로 표현하고, 연주하고 싶어하는 강한 욕구를 보인다고 하였다. 그들은 덧붙여서 시각중복장애학생들의 이러한 음악성 즉, 우수한 청음력, 음악표현에 대한 강한 의욕을 발달시키기 위해서는 시각중복학생들이 가진 신체적 어려움을 보완해줄 수 있는 방법이 연구되어야 하고 듣기를 통한 음악지도, 셈여림의 지도 등과 같은 다양한 지도법을 개발하는 것이 필요하다고 하였다.
Abstract
This study examined after-school instrumental music teachers who work at the A Welfare Center regarding the musicality of students with visual impairment and multiple disabilities. Using qualitative research, the study analyzes interviews given to five instrumental music teachers on the musicality of students with multiple disabilities regarding music instruction. Among the findings were the facts that (1) the teachers recognized that students with multiple disabilities and with visual impairment exhibited a special interest in, and understanding of, music through musical interest and inquiry, and (2) the study participants provided educational support for the promotion of musicality. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the importance of providing appropriate education in keeping with the musical talents of students and of establishing a musical environment.
