단어단위 접근법에 의한 조음 음운장애아동의 음운분석

지금까지 조음적 접근에서의 조음 음운장애 진단과 치료의 모순점을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 최근에 와서 언어학적, 의사소통적, 그리고 총체적 접근법이 강조됨에 따라 단어단위 접근법에 의한 음운분석은 조음 음운장애 진단과 치료에 새로운 방향을 제시하고 있다. 이와같은 학문적 요구에 따라 이 연구에서는 조음과 음운발달이 가장 활발히 이루어지는 정상아동 3세와 4세를 대상으로 단어단위 정확률, 복잡률, 그리고 근접률에 대한 규준을 제시하고, 이 규준과 조음 음운장애 아동의 단어단위 음운분석 결과를 비교하여 진단과 치료에 중요한 정보를 제공하고자 하였다. 단어단위 음운분석을 하기 위해 객관적인 절차를 거쳐서 선택한 153개의 어휘를 사용하였으며, 정상아동 3세 6명, 4세 6명, 그리고 순수한 조음 음운장애 아동 4세 6명을 대상으로 하였다. 분석결과, 정상아동의 단어단위 정확률(PWC), 복잡률(PWWC), 근접률(PWP) 모두 연령간에 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 4세의 정상아동과 조음 음운장애 아동간에도 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 이 연구의 결과로 정상아동의 PWC, PWWC, PWP에 대한 규준이 제시되었으며, 조음 음운장애 아동의 단어단위 산출에 대한 주요 경향을 파악할 수 있었다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to estimate children's whole-word abilities; the norm of whole-word correctness, complexity and proximity. It then attempts to suggest a new method of assessment and treatment by comparing the result of phonological analysis of whole-word approach for phonological impaired children with normal children's. The subjects who participated in the experiment are 6 three-year-old, 6 four-year-old of normal children and 6 four-year-old phonological impaired children using 153 vocabularies, which were selected by a objective procedure. The results are as follows; Firstly, there is a significant difference in a whole-word correctness, complexity and proximity between three-year-old and four-year-old normal children. Secondly, the result of phonological analysis of whole word approach for phonological impaired children are significantly different compared to normal children's, especially a whole-word correctness. Based on the experimental results, it is assumed that children's level of phonological ability could be found easily through a whole-word approach than phonological approach because it could be compared easily with adult's pronunciation. Furthermore the norm of whole-word correctness, complexity and proximity for normal children could be presented.
