보험회사의 퇴직연금 리스크관리 준비실태분석

퇴직연금제도 도입을 앞두고 있는 현시점에서, 본 연구는 보험회사 22개사 퇴직연금 담당자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시, Kruskal-Wallis 통계분석 등을 통해 보험회사의 퇴직연금 리스크관리 수준차이를 분석함으로써 수탁기관인 보험회사 퇴직연금 리스크관리체제를 수립에 조그마나마 기여하고자 하였다. 분석결과, ① 일반적으로 생명보험사그룹보다는 손해보험사그룹이 상대적으로 리스크관리수준이 낮으며 ② 운용상품설정리스크 등 일부리스크를 제외한 여타리스크의 대응은 매우 미흡한 것으로 나타나고 ③ 확정급여형 퇴직연금보다 확정기여형 퇴직연금에 대한 리스크인식이 취약한 것으로 나타나고 있다.따라서 특히 손해보험사 및 중소형 보험회사는 향후 퇴직연금시장에서의 경쟁력제고차원에서 퇴직연금제도 운용과 관련된 제반리스크를 관리하기 위한 대응책마련이 체계적으로 이루어질 필요성이 있다고 본다.
Abstract
The retirement pension is supposed to start sooner or later in Korea. This study is to analyze the differences of the risk management in the retirement pension using the Kruskal-Wallis Statistical Analysis with the survey for the 22 insurance companies in preparation for the implementation. The several findings emerge from the survey analyses. First, the non-life insurance companies are lower than the life insurance companies in the risk management level. Second, the most companies don't get ready for the risk management in almost all risks except for the pricing risk despite for all the possibility of the early implementation. Third, the survey result shows that the risk recognition for the DB-type pension is lower than that for the DC-type pension. As a result, the non-life insurance companies and medium or small-sized life insurance companies are required to be systematically prepared for the risk management methods for the operation of the retirement pension from the viewpoint of the competitiveness enhancement.
