Abstract

Claim adjust is an important procedure in the insurance payment process, and corresponds to the task of investigating the cause and responsibility relationship in the event of an accident and assessing and calculating appropriate insurance money. What is particularly problematic with the claim adjust system is the fairness of the claim adjust consignment, performance indicators that induce reduction of insurance money, and the lack of consumers' right to appoint a claim adjusters. In order to solve these problems, this paper collects and analyzes data related to claim adjust previously studied and suggests institutional improvements to rational claim adjust. Problems arising from the claim adjust system appear in various areas. This study selects some of the recent problems suggested by the supervisory agency as a problem of the claim adjust system that need to be resolved relatively quickly. In order to solve this problem, a research method is selected to collect previous data related to the claim adjust system that has already been studied, analyze the issue of division, and present institutional and policy alternatives. Through this study, the following conclusions can be presented. First, detailed standards and procedures for the selection and evaluation criteria of entrusted claim adjust companies can be prepared to prevent unfair consignment of insurance companies. Second, it is necessary to prevent insurance companies from inducing insurance money, such as salaries, consignment fees, and consignment volume, to achieve the goal. Third, It is necessary to strengthen the expertise of claim adjusters and improve the quality of claim adjust. by making it mandatory for compensation education and practical training of claim adjusters. This study will be an opportunity to further promote the opportunity for claim adjusters to be recognized for their expertise in the insurance field and the cultivation of insurance consumers' reliability for claim adjusters.
