은둔형 외톨이 후기 청소년의 외상 후 성장 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

본 연구는 은둔형 외톨이 후기 청소년의 은둔 전 외상 경험, 은둔 과정 경험, 은둔 후 외상 후 성장 경험을 살펴보고, 외상 후 성장 경험의 의미를 살펴보기 위해 진행되었다. 이를 위해 Clandinin과 Connelly(2000/2007)의 내러티브 탐구 방법을 사용하였으며, 수집된 자료는 시간성, 사회성, 장소를 고려하여 3차원적 내러티브 탐구 공간에서 분석하였다. 연구 참여자는 은둔 경험을 통해 외상 후 성장을 경험하고 은둔에서 벗어나 세상 밖으로 나아가는 중인, 20대 후기 청소년인 이해소와 나대로(가명)이다. 수집 기간은 2023년 11월부터 2024년 1월까지 총 4회의 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 연구 결과는 이해소와 나대로의 외상 후 성장 경험에 관한 의미 분석 결과로 ‘애벌레의 아픔에 이은 번데기의 아픔을 경험하다’, ‘아픔을 견디고 견디다 고치를 틀다’, ‘혼자서는 고치를 뚫지 못하다’, ‘번데기로 되돌아가 아픔을 치유하다’, ‘도움을 통해 번데기에서 나비가 되어 날다’로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 은둔형 외톨이 경험을 통한 외상 후 성장 경험의 논의 및 개인적, 실제적, 사회적 정당성을 살펴보았으며, 후속 연구를 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to examine the traumatic experience before seclusion, the experience of the seclusion process, and the post-traumatic growth experience after seclusion of reclusive loners, and to examine the meaning of the post-traumatic growth experience. For this purpose, Cladinin and Connelly (2000/2007) narrative inquiry method was used, and the collected data were analyzed in a three-dimensional narrative inquiry space taking into account time, sociality, and location. The research participants are Lee Hae-so and Na dae-ro (pseudonyms), teenagers in their late 20s who have experienced post-traumatic growth through seclusion and are moving out of seclusion and into the world. A total of 4 interviews were conducted during the collection period from November 2023 to January 2024. They include ‘Experiencing the pain of a pupa followed by the pain of a caterpillar’, 'Enduring the distress and become a cocoon', 'You cannot break through the cocoon alone', 'Return to the chrysalis and heal the pain', and ‘Fly from a chrysalis into a butterfly with help’. Based on these results, we discussed the experience of post-traumatic growth through the experience of being a reclusive loner and examined its personal, practical, and social justification, and suggested follow-up research.
