양육스트레스가 양육효능감에 미치는 영향: 정서접근적대처와 정서조절곤란의 순차적 이중매개효과

초록

본 연구는 유아 자녀를 양육하는 부모를 대상으로 그들의 양육스트레스가 양육효능감에 미치는 영향에서 정서접근적대처와 정서조절곤란의 순차적 이중매개 경로를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 2022년 1월 24일부터 27일까지 서울과 경기도에 거주하며 만 3세에서 만 5세 유아를 양육하는 부모 548명을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시하셨고, 양육스트레스, 양육효능감, 정서접근적대처, 정서조절곤란을 측정하는 질문지에 대한 응답 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 SPSS 22.0 통계 프로그램과 PROCESS Macro 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, 상관분석, 이중 매개효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 양육스트레스, 양육효능감, 정서조절곤란, 정서접근적대처 간의 유의한 상관이 있음이 확인되었다. 둘째, 부모의 양육스트레스가 양육효능감에 영향을 미치는 경로에서 정서접근적대처와 정서조절곤란의 단독매개 경로를 확인하였다. 셋째, 부모의 양육스트레스가 양육효능감에 영향을 미치는 경로에서 정서조절곤란과 정서접근적대처의 순차적 부분 이중매개 경로를 확인하였다. 이상의 연구결과를 토대로 유아 자녀를 양육하는 부모의 양육효능감을 높일 수 있는 실천적 방안에 대하여 논의하였다.

Abstract

This study examined the sequential dual mediation pathways of emotional approach coping and emotional dysregulation in the effect of parenting stress on parenting efficacy for parents raising infant children. To this end, from January 24 to January 27, 2022, an online survey was conducted targeting 548 parents living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do and raising children between the ages of 3 and 5. In addition, response data to questionnaires measuring parenting stress, parenting efficacy, emotional approach coping, and emotional dysregulation were collected. Based on the collected data, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and double mediation effects were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 statistical program and PROCESS Macro program. The summary of the analysis results is as follows. First, it was confirmed that there was a significant correlation between parents’ parenting stress, parenting efficacy, emotional regulation difficulties, and emotionally approachable coping. Second, in the pathway in which parenting stress affects parenting efficacy, the sole mediating pathway of emotional approach coping and emotional dysregulation was identified. Third, in the pathway in which parenting stress affects parenting efficacy, the sequential partial dual mediation pathway of emotional dysregulation and emotional approach coping was confirmed. Based on the above research results, practical measures to increase the parenting efficacy of parents raising infant children were discussed.
