세속화 시대의 기독교 영성 회복을 위한 구약성서적 제언

초록

본 논문은 세속화 시대 속에서 한국 교회가 건강한 교회로 유지되기 위해 기독교 영성을 회복하는 것이 무엇보다도 중요하다는 전제 하에, 영성 회복 을 위해 구약성서가 제시하는 길들을 찾아보는 것을 목적으로 삼고 있다. 서론 부분에서 필자는 세속화의 의미를 간단하게 소개하고, 구약성서에서 두드러지게 나타나는 세속화 현상들을 언급한다. 아울러 현대의 사회학자들 이 세속화를 논할 때 교회 밖의 사람들이 교회에 대해 어떻게 반응하는지에 관심을 기울이는 면에 강하다면, 구약성서는 하나님의 백성들이 주변 사회 의 다양한 문화나 이방 종교의 가르침들에 대해 어떻게 반응했는지에 더욱 초점을 맞추고 있다는 점을 지적하고 있다. 본론 부분에서는 기독교 영성의 성격을 바르게 이해하기 위해 구약성서 에 언급되는 하나님(여호와)의 영의 활동들과 관심들을 살펴보고, 하나님의 영에 영향을 받은 인물들의 삶의 특징과 그들의 영성을 비교하고 있다. 이 일을 위해 필자는 오경과 예언서와 성문서에서 하나님(여호와)의 영이라는 단어가 사용되고 있는 중요한 구절들을 문맥적, 사회적 관점으로 연구하여 하나님께서 택한 지도자들과 백성들에게 어떤 개인적, 공동체적 변화를 야 기시켰는지를 중점적으로 살펴보고 있다. 이러한 연구 결과로 필자는 세속화 시대의 기독교 영성 회복을 위해 구약 성서가 제안하는 바들을 여섯 가지로 소개하고 있다: (1) 기독교 영성 회복 은 하나님의 임재를 경험하는 삶을 의미한다.; (2) 기독교 영성 회복은 거룩 한 삶으로의 회귀를 뜻한다.; (3) 기독교 영성 회복은 하나님의 주권을 인정 하는 것을 의미한다.; (4) 기독교 영성 회복은 하나님의 영이 제공하는 초자 연적인 능력과 은사의 다양성을 인정하고 하나님의 뜻을 실현해나가는 데 사용하는 것을 뜻한다.; (5) 기독교 영성 회복은 구약의 인물들처럼 구체적이 고도 거룩한 사명을 깨닫고 사는 것을 의미한다.: (6) 기독교 영성 회복의 가 장 중요한 과제 중에 하나는 기독교 지도자들이 먼저 영성을 회복하는 것이다

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to search for ways of recovering Christian spirituality based on the fact that the recovery of Christian spirituality is essential to maintaining the health of the Korean church in a secularized era. In the introduction, the writer defines secularization and discusses the prominent phenomena of secularization in the Old Testament. Furthermore, as for the secularization, he indicates that the Old Testament focuses on how the people of God responded to the various cultures and religions of the neighboring nations, in contrast to the fact that modern sociologists are interested in how people outside of the church respond to the church. In the main body of this article, the writer seeks to understand the characteristics of Christian spirituality by reviewing not only the activities and interests of the Spirit of God(Yahweh) in the Old Testament but also the peculiarities of the people who were influenced by the Spirit of God. For this matter, the writer conducts a contextual and sociological study of the phrases in which the term, “the Spirit of God(Yahweh)” is used in the Torah, prophets, and the writings of the Old Testament. As a result, he searches for the personal and communal changes that the Spirit of God caused for God-chosen leaders as well as the people of God. Finally, the writer suggests six proposals from the Old Testament for the recovery of Christian spirituality in the era of secularization: (1) The recovery of Christian spirituality means the life of experiencing God’s presence.; (2) The recovery of Christian spirituality means returning to the holy living.; (3) The recovery of Christian spirituality means acknowledging God’s sovereignty.; (4) The recovery of Christian spirituality means the usage of the Spirit-given talents and abilities in order to accomplish the will of God.; (5) The recovery of Christian spirituality means recognizing one’s holy and practical responsibility and achieving it throughout his/her life as the people of God in the Old Testament did.; (6) One of the essential prerequisites of the recovery of Christian spirituality is the recovery of spirituality among the Christian leaders.
