한국교회 설교의 사사화(私事化)와 공동체 지향적 설교

최근 한국교회의 설교가 기독교적인 복음 선포의 본질에 집중하지 못하고번영신학이나 기복사상이 깔린 메시지들을 보급하는데 치중하고 있다. 이러한 한국교회 설교의 변질의 문제는 어느 한 개인 설교자의 설교신학의 문제가 아니라, 90년대 이후 한국사회를 변화시킨 개인주의, 소비주의, 대형교회의 부흥, 중소형 교회들 간의 경쟁, 그리고 심리적인 위로를 강조하는 개인주의적인 설교 메시지의 효과 등등 다양한 요소들이 함께 상호작용하여 나타난 결과이다. 이렇게 다양한 요소들이 한국교회 설교의 생태계를 구성하고 있기 때문에, 한국교회의 설교의 갱신 전략을 모색하기 위해서는 먼저 이러한 다양한 요소들을 거시적으로 조망할 수 있는 거시 설교학과 복잡계 이론이 요청된다. 거시 설교학과 복잡계의 관점에 비추어 볼 때, 한국교회 설교는 대형 교회설교자들의 과잉대표의 문제와 인격적인 관여가 배제된 설교의 확산, 종교시장에서 교회성장을 추구하는 설교와 사사화된 설교 패러다임의 확산의 문제를 안고 있다. 이러한 한국교회 설교의 사사화의 문제를 극복하기 위해서는 문화인류학자 빅터 터너가 제안한 리미널리티와 코뮤니타스를 통한 공동체 형성을 공동체 지향적인 설교 전략에 적용시킬 필요가 있다. 말하자면 예수 그리스도의 십자가 죽음과 부활 사건에 대한 분명한 선포를 통해서 신자들이 개별적으로 그리고 공동체적으로 옛 질서의 심판과 붕괴와 멸망 속에서 리미널리티를 경험하도록 해야 하며, 세상의 구원을 위하여 헌신하는 교회의 목회 사역들에 신자들이 실제적으로 참여하는 가운데 안락한 질서로부터의 분리와 전이 과정 속에서 서로 간에 연대감을 확인하는 코뮤니타스를경험하도록 유도해야 한다. 마지막으로 이러한 전이와 재결합에 관한 공동체 정체성의 내러티브를 설교를 통해서 공동체 구성원들이 예수 그리스도의구원 안에서 영적인 연대감을 형성할 수 있도록 해야 한다.
Abstract
Contemporary Korean Churches preaching does not concentrate the essence of the Christian gospel proclamation, and put value to diffuse the prosperity theology or secular blessing perspectives. This corrupted preaching problem did not originated from any preaching theology of one specific preacher. Rather this result has come from individualism and consumerism, rapid revival of the mega churches after 90th in Korea, serious rival movement among small churches, and individualistic sermon to concentrate upon the psychological console, etc. In order to examine contemporary Korean Churches preaching problem, we need to refer to the macro homiletics and complexity theory which help to survey the various homiletical components in a wholistic view. In terms of the macro homiletics and complexity theory, contemporary Korean Churches preaching embraces exceeding representation of the mega church preachers, indifference about the preachers’ integrity to support the sermon authenticity, and diffusion of the privatized sermon to seek the church growth. In oder to overcome the privatization of preaching in the Korean Churches, preachers need to apply liminality and communitas theory introduced by Victor Turner into the community- oriented preaching strategy. In other word, preacher should help the congregation to experience the divine judge and collapse of the old order by proclaiming the message about death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Preachers also should lead congregation to leave an old order, separate from a comfortable world, and to get the communitas experience by taking part in the missional ministry of the church for the surrounding unbelievers and secular society. The Korean preachers also need to help the listening congregation to have the strong spiritual solidarity in the salvation of Jesus Christ by restating the communal identity narrative about liminality and reconciliation experienced in the local church’s missional ministry.
