이 연구는 무용교육의 사회학적 가치에 관한 고찰로서, 무용이 현대사회에 어떤 영향을 주며 무용의 교육사회학적 현상들이 어떻게 조명되는지 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 무용은 사회적인 협력을 필요로 하기 때문에 집단의 움직임 속에 개인이 필수 불가결한 수단이 되기도 한다. 그리고 무용의 사회학적 관계는 무용을 통하여 감정, 가치, 표현과의 관계를 탐구할 기회를 제공한다. 기능주의 무용교육은 독립적이며 자율적이라는 자유주의적 이데올로기에 근거하고 있으며, 학교교육을 통하여 사회문제를 해결할 수 있고 무용교육으로 인하여 문화적, 정서적 기능으로 작용함에 있어 사회로부터 완충작용이 될 수 있다. 갈등주의 무용교육은 지적기술보다 지배계층이 선호하는 가치관, 규범, 태도 등을 은밀히 강조하며 소수이익 집단으로 무용 교육적 현실이 가중화되고 있다는 점이다. 결과적으로 하나의 교육행위로서 무용은 사회경험이며 모든 문화권, 집단, 또는 체제의 구성원들이 함께하는 주요한 의식과 의미의 창출행위인 것이다. 따라서 무용교육은 사회학 이론을 바탕으로 인간의 본질을 이해하며 사회적 현상에서 다루어진 여러 측면을 무용교육에 접목시켜 사회학적 관점에서 조명해 보았다.
Abstract
This research refers to the social value of the dance education, which find the influence of the dance education to modern society and aim to reveal the socio-educational phenomena of the era. The result of the research revealed as follows. Dance activity need social cooperation so the individual factor is essential means to the motion of the group as well. Also, the sociological relationship of the dance serve the opportunity to explore the relationships among emotion, value, and expression of th people through the dance. Functionalism theory of dance education is based on the liberalism ideology of independence and autonomy, which can solve the social problem through school education and the dance education can take the role of buffering the society by cultural and emotional function of the dance education. Conflict theory of dance education internally emphasize value, norm, and attitude which preferred by ruling class than intellectual technique, which pursuit small group's interest as emphasizing the educational realities. As a result, the dance is the educational activity of social experience and creative activity of important formality or meaning within members of the culture, group, and or social systems. Thus, the dance education is understood and illuminated as one of the social phenomena on the basis of sociological theory to apply it to the dance education.
