학(學)으로서 무도철학의 이론전개방향

본 연구는 무도철학이 갖는 실천적 함의와 이해의 후속 논문이다. 무도철학은 무도의 현상적인 측면이외에도 실천적인 의미까지도 설명해야 한다고 하였다. 이를 통해 무도철학은 새로운 이론적 전개 방향을 제시할 필요성이 있다. 이러한 논의의 전개는 객관적, 논리적, 체계적인 특성을 유지해야 한다. 하지만 무도철학은 연구자의 관점과 시각에 따라 다양하게 전개될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 무도철학의 이론적 전개방향에 대한 하나의 시론적 시도이다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 무도개념의 재창조가 필요하다. 무도개념은 무도의 실천적 수행을 논리적으로 설명하기 위한 새로운 무도개념의 창조에 방점을 찍어야 한다. 둘째, 무도철학에 대한 인식론적 전환이 필요하다. 무도철학은 무도의 깨달음이나 도의 의미를 고정된 도달해야 하는 인식의 대상으로 판단해서는 안 된다. 지금 주어진 현실에서 수행하는 과정 그 자체에서 자신의 반성을 전제한 자기 수행의 의미를 제시해야 한다. 셋째, 무도철학은 실천적 앎을 넘어선 실천적 삶으로 구현되어야 한다. 실천적 앎은 자신이 실천적 수행을 할 수 있다는 것을 아는 것이며, 실천적 삶은 자기완성을 통해 현실에서 타인에게 도움이 되는 행위로의 전환을 의미한다. 넷째, 무도미학에 대한 이해가 필요하다. 서구 미학이 감각에서 출발하였지만 동양의 미학은 감정에서 시작하였다. 이는 무도미학이 서구적인 아름다움, 즉 미라는 측면보다 수행의 과정 속에서 덕이라는 내용으로 표출되어야 한다. 다섯째, 무도윤리에 대한 동양적 사상에 대한 이해의 지평을 넓혀야 한다. 무도에서 가장 중요한 윤리적 문제가 무엇인지를 설정하고 해답을 찾으려는 노력을 경주해야 한다. 하지만 이 모든 무도철학의 이론적 구성과 내용의 전개방향은 연구자의 관점에 따라 다르게 서술될 수 있다는 점에서 더 많은 논의와 검토가 필요하다. 이 모든 것이 검토되고 인정받을 때 서구스포츠와 다른 학으로서 무도철학의 단초를 세울 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study is follow-up paper of being the practical implication and understanding of martial arts. Philosophy of martial arts should explain not only the aspects of phenomena but also the meaning of practice. And then, we should propose the new theoretical directions. But these discussions are to keep the attributes of having the objective, logical, and scientific directions. Of course, there are existed many methodologies according to researcher's view and approach. Therefore, this study is of delineating the discoursive contents about the theoretical directions on philosophy of martial arts. The results are as follows: First, we should focus the re-invention of concept of martial arts of logically elucidating the practical cultivation. Second, we should need the conversion of epistemology in the philosophy of martial arts. It is to show the meanings of self-cultivation under prerequisite of their reflections. Third, it should realize the practical knowledge in life world that discipliant's attitude and behavior could help the others through the self-perfection. Fourth, we should know the aesthetics of martial arts in detail from the perspective of East's thought. It makes it possible to represent as the De(德) rather than beauty(美). Fifth, we should the expand the horizon of understanding the ethics of martial arts. We are to establish what the ethical problems are in our martial arts, and then we should try to get their answer. But we will consider the precedent discussions may be differently described by many critically views. Therefore, we need the more review and discussion. After acknowledged the review of the diverse contents, we will strengthen the basis on philosophy of martial arts as science different from the philosophy of sports in Western.
