국문초록본 연구는 우리 무속에서 행하여지고 있는 무당의 ‘굿 수행 과정에서의 신체체험 현상’을 민속지학적(Ethnographic) 관점에서 규명해 볼 수 있는 방법론적 단서와 시사점을 탐색해보는 것이다.무당의 굿 수행은 의식과 신체가 총체적으로 구현된 인간의 원초적인 경험이라고 할 수 있다. 굿 수행과정에서 무당의 육화된 신체는 의식의 발현체이며 체험의 축적장소이다. 그러므로 굿에서의 무당의 신체는 인간 내면세계 경험의 기반으로서 체험을 제공하는 토대라고 할 수 있었다.
Abstract
A Possible approach to Bodily Experience of the Exorcist：Ethonographic Understanding Kim, Youn HeeShin, Hyun Kun (Sookmyung Women's University) The performance of exorcism is a primordial experience for human being which contains the embodiment of consciousness and body. In this sense, the body of the exorcist is the source of experience. The purpose of this study was to propose a possible research approach to investigate the bodily experience of the exorcist in Korean traditional culture. The main concern of this study was directed its focus into the methodological framework and implicative ways. The followings were articulated as the result: First of all, the context of bodily experience of the exorcist which represents as the subjective dimension would be the important source for physical education which are focused on bodily experience. Second, experiential components experienced by the exorcist, which is the so-called ‘lived performance’ would be the ground for investigating the cultural characteristics of the exorcism. Third, investigating the nature and structure of bodily experience of the exorcist would be the main focus in doing ethnographic approach to the exorcism phenomenon. In conclusion, an ethnographic approach would play an important role in investigating the bodily experience of the exorcist. It offers an effective methodological framework.
