본 연구는 우리나라의 스포츠외교의 현실과 향후 스포츠외교 시스템의 구축을 위한 윤리적 과제를 논하고자한다. 이 논의를 위한 구체적 물음은 첫째, 과연 우리나라의 스포츠외교는 역사적 측면에서 어떠한 특성과 의미를 지녔는가?, 둘째, 우리의 스포츠외교의 가장 큰 준거점이었던 지난 1988년 서울올림픽 유치에 있어서의 외교적 의미는 무엇이고 향후 우리의 행보는 어떠하였는가?, 셋째, 스포츠외교지도자의 윤리적 과제는 무엇이고, 어떠한 철학적 의미를 그 대안으로 할 수 있는가?, 그리고 이의 대안으로 올림피즘은 가능한가? 라는 문제를 중심으로 논의하였다. 기본적으로 우리나라 스포츠외교에 있어서의 윤리적 가치실현을 위한 개인윤리적 차원과 사회윤리적 차원에서의 노력은 거의 찾아볼 수 없었다. 이는 현상과 결과지향적 차원에서의 윤리적 행위는 있어왔지만 지도자들의 개인윤리적 노력들은 정치적 목적 하에서 상당한 훼손이 있어왔음을 발견할 수 있었고, 이의 대안으로 본 연구는 올림피즘철학을 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study is to explore the meaning and value of the ethical approach to sport diplomacy in the aspect of olympism. For this purpose, four questions(the characteristics and meaning of Korean sport diplomacy, the diplomatic meaning of 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, an ethical value of Korean sport leader, and the philosophy of olympism) were discussed. First, this study indicates that Korean sport leader were almost not sport-centered archetype but politic-centered archetype. Second, for enlargement of Korean sport diplomacy, Korean Olympic Committee have a connection with International Olympic Committee in the aspect of sport value of ethic. Third, we have to develop and activate the education program of KOC's olympic academy for the education of sport diplomatic leader in the future. Fourth, we have to cultivate the value of individual and social ethic for realization of Korean sport ethic. Fifth, for true realization of sport value, we have to develop the principle of olympism in the aspect of ethical philosophy.
