최근 스포츠는 형태적인 측면에 있어서 변화를 맞이하고 있다. 이-스포츠(e-sports)나 익사이팅 스포츠(exiting sports)처럼 새로운 형태의 스포츠는 전통적 영역에서 강조되어 온 신체운동적 요소보다는 오히려 흥미와 재미가 우선시 되는 놀이와 같고, 심지어 스포츠 행위의 대상이 되는 인간의 영역에서 시/공간을 초월하여 인간이 아닌 인공의 행위자가 스포츠를 행하게 되는 현실 속에서 놀이에 대한 철학적 접근은 스포츠를 정립하는 데에 유의미한 과정이라 생각된다. 따라서 본 연구는 카이와의놀이론을 중심으로 경쟁에 대한 분석을 시도하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 놀이에서의 경쟁, 즉 아곤이 지닌 내적구조를 구명하고, 더 나아가 스포츠 속에 내재 된 놀이의 속성을 정립하고자 하였다. 놀이와 스포츠의 교집합적인 측면은 아곤으로 설명된다. 아곤에 부합되는 놀이가 스포츠라고 볼 때, 아곤의 개념은 단지 경쟁성에 그치는 것이 아니라 경쟁을 위한 공정한 기회, 탁월성, 규칙성과 관계된다. 한편, 스포츠가 지닌 놀이적 특성은 또 다른 놀이의 범주- 알레아, 미미크리, 일링크스-에서 수용된다. 스포츠에서 불가항력적인 운의 개입과 이에 대한 숙명론적인 수용, 현실과 다른 가상 공간인 스포츠 세계, 억제된 욕구 분출과 모험을 즐기려는 성향과 같은 스포츠적인 요소들은 아곤을 비롯한 놀이의 나머지 범주에서 적용된다. 이는 기존 스포츠철학 영역에서 다루어왔던 ‘아곤=경쟁=스포츠’라는 단편적인 내용을 보완하여 놀이와 스포츠의 외연을 넓히는 근거가 될 것으로 판단된다.
Abstract
Recently, sport is facing a change in formality. New forms of sports, such as e-sports and exiting sports, are considered to be a significant process of establishing sports in the real world, where interest and fun are prioritized rather than physical exercise elements, which have been emphasized in traditional areas. In this realm, non-human actors perform sports, even in human areas, which are subject to sports. Therefore, this study attempted to analyze the concept of competition around the play theory of R. Caillois. The inner structure of Agon, the competition in play, sought to establish the nature of play inherent in sport. The hybrid aspect of play and sport can be explained through Agon, which is competitiveness. Agon is play, which conforms to the characteristics of sport. Its concept is not just competitive, but related to fair opportunities, excellence, and regularity of competition. Meanwhile, the nature of sport and play is accepted in terms of other categories of play - Alea, Mimicry, and Ilinx. Sport factors, such as the invincible involvement of fortune and the fatalistic acceptance, the virtual space different from reality, and the tendency to enjoy suppressed desires, discharge and apply to other areas, including Agon. This is believed to be the basis for expanding the appearance of play and sport by supplementing the fragmentary content of "Agon=Competition=Sport," which has been dealt with in the field of sport philosophy.
