‘성인됨’의 왕양명 입지공부론

양명에게 있어서 입지 공부론은 성인됨을 위한 공부론의 전과정과 연관되어 있다. 그는 지식과 재능을 성인됨의 기반으로 파악하지 않고, 모든 인간이 본래적으로 지니고 있는 내면적 덕성으로 파악한다. 이러한 관점에서 양명의 입지 공부론은 네 단계의 과정을 거친다. 첫 번째는 학습자가 스스로 성인이 되겠다는 굳게 다짐하고 이에 헌신하고자 하는 마음을 지니는 입지의 단계이며, 두 번째는 선각자에게서 자신을 바로잡고 고훈을 연구하여 존천리거인욕의 방법을 탐색하는 단계이다. 세 번째는 성인이 되고자 하는 뜻에만 전일하여, 이전에 습득한 존천리거인욕의 방법을 스스로에게 적용하고 사욕을 단호하고 철저하게 제거하고 천리를 보존하는 단계이다. 마지막으로 네 번째 단계는 입지의 뜻(志)이 다른 사욕이나 객기를 일으키는 뜻(志)을 자체적으로 책망하여 몰아내기에, 입지의 뜻(志)이 깨우쳐 주는 대로 실행해 나가는 단계이다.
Abstract
Wang yang-ming's character education is totally shown in his kongfu-theroy of making up the mind(立志). The starting point and destination point of his kongfu-theroy are to become a Sage, the state of an ideal of character. He didn't regard the foundation of becoming a Sage as personal knowledge and skills, but as the extention of the innate knowledge to the utmost His kongfu-theroy of making up the mind is the four-step curriculum. First stage is the learner's self-determination to become a sage. Second stage is the finding the way how to preserve the law of nature and remove human desire from pioneers and confucian scriptures. Third stage is the learner's application to himself the way how to preserve the law of nature and remove human desire. Four stage is other selfish desires will be blamed and removed by the mind(志) of 'making up the mind(立志)' by itself. His kongfu-theroy of making up the mind show that "if human being would discover the innate knowledge, he will reach the goal, to become a sage."
