4차 산업혁명시대의 특징과 인성함양교육의 필요성

본 연구에서는 4차 산업혁명시대의 특징적 변화에 따른 인성함양교육의 필요성을 제기하고자 한다. 급격한 사회변화에 기존의 인재양성 교육 패러다임으로는 한계가 있음을 설명하고, 지속 가능한 사회가 형성되기 위한 중심에는 인성을 함양하는 교육이 있음을 강조하고자 한다. 우선 제4차 산업혁명이 사회에 미치는 영향을 생산성 향상, 고용 문제, 부의 양극화 심화, 선동성 정보의 범람의 4가지로 분류하였다. 4차 산업혁명은 사회 전체의 생산성을 향상시키지만 동시에 우리 사회를 고용을 창출하지 않는 사회, 극단적 양극화의 사회, 왜곡된 정보의 사회로 이끌어 갈 수 있다. 이런 사회적 변화에 전문성 및 창의성 양성 및 문제 해결 역량을 교육하는 기존의 인재 양성 위주의 교육 패러다임만으로는 사회 구조의 변화에 따른 문제를 해결할 수 없으며, 도덕성, 사회성, 정서성 및 비판적 사고를 포괄한 인성 함양 위주의 교육이 절실히 필요하다.
Abstract
In this paper, we propose that education for cultivating character according to the characteristic changes of the fourth industrial revolution era is needed. We show that the traditional talent-oriented education paradigm has a limit as our society changes abruptly, and emphasize that we need an education fostering character development to form a sustainable society. First of all, we classify the effects of the fourth industrial revolution on our society as the following four: improving productivity, lowering employment, deepening polarization of the economy, and flooding of fake information. While the fourth industrial revolution improves the total productivity of society, it forms our society into one that does not create employment, that has extreme polarization, and where distorted information is everywhere. Since the traditional talent-oriented education paradigm that has focused on expertise, creativity and problem-solving skills cannot solve problems caused by social structure changes brought by the fourth industrial revolution, education centered on cultivating character encompassing morality, sociality, emotionality and critical thinking is desperately needed.
