본고는 제목에서 잘 드러나 있듯이, 칼빈의 종말론 중 ‘최후의 부활’에 초점을 맞추어 그 의의와 중요성을 현재 한국교회와 성도들에게 적용할 목적으로 쓰여 졌다. 보통 종말론하면 미래에만 중점을 두고 이해함으로써 현재와 분리된 사건으로 취급하려는 경향이 농후하다. 이런 왜곡된 경향을 바로 세울 목적으로 칼빈의 종말론을 택한 것은 현재와 미래의 균형 잡힌 시각으로 종말론을 전개하고 있기 때문이다. 이런 균형 잡힌 시각이 본 논문에서 자세히 다루어질 것이다. 이를 위해 본고는 먼저, 부활을 정점으로 한 “삶과 죽음의 변증법적 관계”를 소개하려 한다. 오늘날 사람들은 현재와 미래를 분리시키듯이 삶과 죽음 역시 분리시켜 현재에만 몰입되어 죽음을 도외시 하는 결과를 초래했다. 이런 왜곡된 현상을 칼빈의 목소리를 통해 그 근본 원인과 해결책을 추적해 볼 것이다. 다음으로 칼빈 부활론의 ‘하드웨어’에 해당하는 “최후부활의 방식”을 소개함으로 부활 시 몸의 본질과 특성으로 구별하여 동일성과 새로움을 살펴볼 것이며, 주의 재림 시 그 때 죽지 않고 살아 있는 사람들의 ‘변형’에 대해서도 살펴볼 것이다. 그리고 부활은 신자들에게만 주어진 것이 아니라 불신자들에게도 일어나는 ‘보편적 현상’임을 소개할 것이다. 그리고 본고의 본론이며 부활론의 ‘소프트웨어’에 해당하는 “최후부활의 신학적 의의”장에서는 칼빈의 부활론을 그의 신학적 윤리사상에 초점을 맞추어 소개할 것이다. 이를 통해 교리는 윤리적 삶(성화)을 지향하며 윤리는 교리적 사상에 바탕을 두고 있음이 잘 드러날 것이다. 마지막 장인 “결론”에서는 칼빈의 부활사상이 오늘날 살아가는 성도들과 한국교회에 어떤 의의와 중요성이 있는지, 즉 현실적 적용성에 중점을 두고 제언형식으로 마무리할 것이다.
Abstract
As the title reveals, this paper focuses on Calvin's "Last Resurrection" of eschatology and its significance to the present Korean Church and Saints. Usually, eschatology tends to be treated as a separate event from the present by focusing on the future only. Calvin's eschatology was chosen for the purpose of establishing such a distorted tendency because he is developing eschatology with a balanced view of the present and the future. This balanced view will be covered in detail in this paper. To this goal, this paper first introduces the "dialectical relation of life and death" with the resurrection. Today, people are separated from life and death just as they separate the present and the future, resulting in the fact that they are immersed in the present and neglecting death. Calvin's voices will trace these distorted phenomena to their root causes and solutions. In the second chapter, we introduce the "Last Resurrection", which will distinguish between the essence and characteristics of the body at the time of resurrection and examine the identity and the newness. In the chapter of "the theological significance of the last resurrection" which corresponds to the main text of this paper will be introduced focusing on his theological ethical thought. Through this, it will be evident that doctrine is oriented toward ethical life(sanctification) and ethics is based on doctrinal thought. In the last chapter "Conclusion", the theological thought of Calvin's resurrection will focus on the significance in today's korean churches and saints, focusing on practical applicability.
